KUH LEDESMA-Pinay Diva
Her real name is MA. SOCORRO LEDESMA. She was born in March 16 in Bacolod City, Philippines.
She started her singing career when she was still in College, taking up Nursing. She was a member of the band Lastiko before joining then the Ensalada band in Bacolod. while she was still in college taking up Nursing. Jet Montelibano, one of the members formed the MUSIC & MAGIC band and invited her to come to Manila and join the singing group. It was thru this band that she landed in a lead role in Alice Reyes' pop ballet, RAMA HARI. She eventually went solo with her first hit song DITO BA.
Kuh has performed three hundred conderts in a span of twenty five years of her singing career.
Her AKO AY PILIPINO (1982) concert at the CCP featured a repertoire of ethnic sounds, classic kundimans and beautiful pop songs.
In the 90's Kuh had a series of back-to-back concerts with foreign artists like Noel Pointer, Jack Jones, and Kenny Rankin (and later with The Platters and Michel Legrand).
She also had TWO concert series performing with local artists like Regine Velasquez, Pops Fernandez, and Jaya.
She appeared in films ORO PLATA MATA, TINIMBANG ANG LANGIT, THE YEAR OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY.
